ADF’s Mental Health Breakfast Meeting with Vulnerable Women at Wassa IDP Settlement, Abuja

The AdieUtabu Development Foundation visited the Wassa IDP Settlement, Abuja today to commemorate the #World Mental Health day with most vulnerable IDPs in line with the 2025 theme, Mental Health in Humanitarian Emergencies.

The emphasis of this year’s theme calling for urgent attention to the mental health and psychosocial support for people experiencing humanitarian crisis informed our visit to raise awareness, provide support and light up souls by breaking stigma associated with mental health.

Ours was a simple message of hope to these women at Wassa settlement who defied the morning cold to give us audience as we charged them to stay resilient not in spite of but because of the odds.

We rounded off the breakfast meeting with a little token disbursement to the women, thanking them for hosting us and bidding them a moment bye to a great mental health.

We extend our gratitude to our partner the Rudenberry Foundation through the +1 Global Fund.
